About Kathy Butryn

profile pic1Hi! My name is Kathy Butryn, and I am the founder of Faith Life At Work. 

Let me share with you a little about my life–between Sundays!

I work at home: 

My greatest joy comes from being a wife and ministry partner with my husband/pastor; being mom to 3 grown children; being mom-in-law to 2 son-in-laws; and being Amma to my sweet little grandson. Working at creating a cozy home that welcomes family and friends is one of my most favourite things to do.

 

I work from home:

My passion to walk along side of women in their personal spiritual journey has opened doors to work from my home in both church and women’s ministry. What does that look like right now? Well, I am writing for Faith Life At Work, building relationships and mentoring, preparing for speaking engagements and weekly teaching I do at our church, and lots of reading–and learning.

 

I work outside of my home:

Several days a week, I work outside of my home as a Learning Specialist, Coach, and Facilitator for a global financial services company. I create customized learning plans, write and facilitate video-conferenced and face-to-face workshops in Toronto and Boston, and coach individuals for continued reinforcement of both the principles taught and action steps they have decided upon. In an nutshell: I help leadership teams and their team members better lead themselves and relate to each other. Some people call it soft-skills.

    Hi Kathy – What an inspiring session last night and I appreciate your honesty about not having mastered prayer unceasingly. Really, we’re all a work in progress.

    I believe that God leads us to where we are to work with Him as the one in charge of those who are in charge of us. When we seek to work in a way that pleases our bosses, it pleases Him. But it’s hard sometimes when your boss is difficult or just so different from you (in terms of personality, beliefs, values, interests). So I pray that God will help me manage, will help me be real and truthful and honest and He is faithful to me. Amen.
